Casting management of a musician, image actors and extras for clubbing sequence.

We casted more than a hundred of various foreign roles and extras for several sequences of this major and most audacious Korean feature film of 2024, now on Netflix, with Tang Wei, Bae Suzy or Gong Yoo as main actors. Due to the Covid-19, the film had to relocate in Korea a shooting planned abroad, it contains numerous airport scenes and has dialogues in three languages.

Film by Yann K - Music: Krijka French electronic musician Nicolas arrives in Seoul to do DJ sets, ten years after he came to act in an indie film. He meets up with Jisu, Korean musician from this film, also in techno, and looks for the actress with who he was acting. But their life has been shaken at the end of 2022, along with a neighborhood, Itaewon, its techno clubs and its bliss. 프랑스 전자음악 뮤지션 '니콜라'는 한국 독립영화에 출연한 이후 10년 만에 디제잉을 재개하기 위해 서울을 찾는다. 그는 한국 테크노 뮤지션 '지수'와 다시 만나게 되며, 10년 전 영화에서 함께한 여배우도 찾아내기로 결심한다. 그러나 2022년 말, 이태원 동네, 테크노 클럽, 그리고 그들의 행복한 일상이 뒤흔들렸다. Nicolas, musicien électronique français, vient à Seoul faire des DJ sets, dix ans après être venu jouer dans un petit film. Il retrouve la musicienne coréenne de ce film, Jisu, elle aussi DJ techno, et recherche l’actrice avec qui il avait joué. Mais leur destin a basculé fin 2022, avec celui d’un quartier, Itaewon, ses clubs techno et sa joie.

Then they are taken by a world in turmoil and by their dull work. Yet memories of each other still remain, or maybe what’s left of each other is nothing but memories. 서울의 어느 날 밤, 진은 LP바에서 서빙을 하는 태를 만난다. 이후 그들은 급변한 세상과 지친 업무의 혼란속에 사로잡히게 된다. 그러나 서로에 대한 추억이 남아있다. 아니면 서로에게 남은 건 추억 뿐이지 않을까.

Le stress fait chuter son faible niveau de français, elle ne s’exprime plus en mots mais en gestes, devant un examinateur désarçonné. In Seoul, a Korean girl is passing the french oral exam DELF, but the examiner’s questions lead her to speak about her difficult family story. Her low level of french gets worse with the stress, and unconsciously, she starts to express herself with gestures, in front of a puzzled examiner. 진이라는 여학생이 프랑스어 말하기 시험 ‘델프’에서 시험관에게 자기 아버지에 대한 개인적인 이야기를 하게 된다. 진은 프랑스어 능력이 부족한데다 긴장한 탓에 ‘이가 없으면 잇몸으로’라는 한국 속담처럼 무의식적으로 언어대신 몸짓으로 조금씩 표현하기 시작한다.

Jin, girl rock drummer, plays with her friend Suhye in a bar of Hongdae, the artist neighborhood of Seoul. A K-pop producer sees them but focuses on Suhye, like a future star that he could shape with his financial power. This drives Jin angry, and when a drummer is angry, she may hit hard. 듀오 록 그룹의 드러머인 진은 싱어이자 베이시스트인 수혜와 함께 홍대의 ‘스트랜지 프룻’ 바에서 공연한다. 우연히 그곳에 들른 K-pop 프로듀서가 수혜를 미래의 스타로 키울 생각으로 돈을 무기로 접근하고, 그렇지 않아도 돈 때문에 골머리를 앓던 진은 성질을 부린다. 성난 드러머가 할 수 있는 일은 드럼을 “세게” 치는 것 뿐이다.
